The City of Brampton is kicking off its first-ever Youth Cricket League. Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, Regional Councillor Martin Medeiros and Canadian National Team Cricketer Harsh Thaker, invite members of the media to an in-person media opportunity to kick off the inaugural season of the new league.
Members of the media will have an opportunity to hear remarks from Mayor Brown, Regional Councillor Medeiros and Cricketer Harsh Thaker, and capture footage of the event.
The new Youth Cricket League utilizes two newly built cricket fields at Blue Oak Park and County Court Park, bringing the total number of Brampton’s cricket amenities to 21. These projects are part of the City’s $8 million investment in the 2024 Budget.
