BRAMPTON, ON (March 31, 2025) – The City of Brampton is kicking off the third year of its successful Shared E-scooter Pilot Program, continuing to offer residents and visitors a convenient and sustainable way to get around. Since its launch in 2023, the program has helped transform how people move across the city while supporting Brampton’s climate and transportation goals.

The Shared E-scooter Pilot Program is a key part of Brampton’s Active Transportation Master Plan and the City’s 2040 Vision. By expanding transportation options, the program encourages walking, cycling and transit use and reduces reliance on single-occupant vehicle trips.

Key highlights from the first two seasons of the Pilot:

  • Up to 900 shared e-scooters deployed across the city in partnership with three operators
  • Approximately 348,000 trips taken
  • Approximately 2,905,711 kilometres travelled
  • Approximately 71 to 98 tons of carbon emissions reduced
This season, up to 900 e-scooters will once again be available across Brampton through the City’s ongoing partnership with Neuron, Bird Canada and SCOOTY. Riders will continue to benefit from a hybrid parking model, which combines designated parking areas with free-floating zones. In-app technology prompts users to return scooters to approved parking spots before ending a trip in high-traffic areas, helping maintain safety and accessibility in shared public spaces.

Brampton remains committed to advancing sustainable, forward-thinking transportation options that help build a greener and more connected city.
