​​​​​​In recognition of Seniors Month, members of the media are invited to attend a special launch event marking the official start of the City of Brampton’s new free 65+ Annual Recreation Membership. This initiative is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to supporting active, healthy aging and promoting community connections among older adults, and Brampton is proud to be the first municipality in Canada to offer free recreation memberships to residents aged 65 and older. 

The event will include a free seniors' fitness class demonstration, remarks from Mayor Patrick Brown and Regional Councillor, Rowena Santos, as well as opportunities for interviews and capturing footage of the event.

Members of the media who wish to participate are required to register by June 2 at 4:30 pm by emailing mediarelations@brampton.ca​. To allow time for setup, media are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before the event.
