Members of the media are invited to Baseball
Day in Brampton, a free community event hosted by the City of Brampton in partnership with Jays Care Foundation and the Blue Jays Baseball Academy. The event returns for a second year following last year’s success, which welcomed approximately 200 children and youth.
This year, 240 children ages four to 12 are expected to take part in two age-specific baseball clinics led by the Blue Jays Baseball Academy. They will learn fundamental skills such as batting, throwing and catching, receive a free Blue Jays shirt, hat and baseball glove, enjoy an ice cream truck and other family-friendly activities and see a special guest appearance by a former Toronto Blue Jays player.
During the event, members of the media will have the opportunity to hear remarks from Mayor Patrick Brown and capture photos and video of young participants taking part in the baseball clinics.
DATE: Friday, August 21, 2026
TIME: 4 to 9 p.m. – formal speaking remarks begin at 5 p.m.
LOCATION: Morris Kerbel Park, 292 Conestoga Drive, Brampton, ON
