Brampton On Stage reveals Summer/Fall 2024 lineup, including Scott Thompson; Kirk Diamond; The Strumbellas

​​Celebrate Brampton’s 50th birthday since incorporation with summer celebrations, live music, theatre, comedy, family productions and more at the City’s outstanding performing arts venues

​BRAMPTON, ON (May 15, 2024) – Brampton On Stage reveals its highly anticipated summer and fall lineup, featuring shows and events at The Rose, Lester B. Pearson Memorial Theatre (LBP), Cyril Clark Theatre and in Garden Square from July to December 2024. From heartwarming theatre and electrifying concerts to side-splitting comedy and holiday favourites, audiences can expect riveting performances, innovative storytelling and unforgettable experiences.

Summer/Fall 2024 lineup highlights 

Renowned Brampton artists grace every stage, as homegrown talent will be highlighted throughout the City’s special 50th birthday year. Audiences will enjoy performances by JUNO Award-winning reggae star Kirk Diamond at The Rose (November 23); Brampton Arts Walk of Fame recipient Scott Thompson at LBP (October 4); and Brampton’s GRAMMY Award-Winning Larnell Lewis leading FlowFest at The Rose (September 21). Catch more local acts in the Co-Presentation and This is Brampton series, with events curated by B-Jazzed, Stand-Up Stitches, TCspades, Crate Clash, QueeriAHcity, HYPE, Immigrants with Attitude, and Bluebird Brampton.

Through July and August, residents and visitors are invited to experience Brampton and enjoy free outdoor programming in Garden Square. Events include an East Coast Kitchen Party (July 19) and Brampton’s annual country music celebration Stomp N’ Stampede (August 16), featuring headliner Kalsey Kulyk (August 16) – on both nights, revel in Downtown Brampton BIA’s Party in the Lanes, with local laneways ignited with music, art, food, and family fun. Summer continues with Colours of Carnival in partnership with Math Thru Music August 2); Classic Rock Royalty (August 31); and The Poets: A Tragically Hip tribute in partnership with the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund (August 30). 

In the fall, enjoy several live music events including RIDGE ft. The Fugitives (November 5); Glass Tiger (November 22); and The Strumbellas (December 13). True crime and theatre fans will be captivated by The Psychology of Serial Killers (November 9) and Every Brilliant Thing in partnership with The Hive (November 27-30).

Stagedoor Stories, a regularly sold-out series in The Rose Studio, will host intimate conversations and performances from children's music icons Sharon & Randi Hampson in a Sharon, Lois & Bram Sing-along; and two-time JUNO Award winner and folk superstar, Valdy.

Major festivals and celebrations returning this summer

  • The RoseBowl (July 12), a free hip hop and R&B festival. New this year, professional development for aspiring artists and music industry professionals.
  • Monsoon Sound, Brampton’s South Asian hip hop celebration (September 12).
  • Flow Fest, Brampton's third annual International Drumming Festival (September 21). A percussive party that celebrates culture, music and drums from around the world.

2024 Holiday Shows 

Enjoy fall and holiday performances by local co-presenters The Rose Orchestra, Brampton Concert Band and Brampton Music Theatre. Feature holiday programming also includes:

  • The Celtic Tenors: A Celtic Christmas (December 11)
  • Ballet Jörgen’s The Nutcracker (December 17)
  • A Next Generation Leahy Christmas (December 21)

Brampton On Stage Encore Members can enjoy advance purchase beginning May 16 at 10:00 AM via their online account. Tickets go on sale May 17 at 12:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased online at bramptononstage.ca, or in person at the Brampton On Stage Box Office located at The Rose (1 Theatre Ln) in person Monday through Saturday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Prices range from $10 to $89 per ticket.
