​​​BRAMPTON, ON (March 6, 2026) – Residents are invited to celebrate Irish Heritage Month at a community flag raising and cultural celebration hosted by the City of Brampton in partnership with the Rovers Club/Irish Pavilion of Carabram. The annual event recognizes the history, culture and contributions of Irish Canadians in Brampton and across Canada. 

 ​Residents are invited to attend Irish Heritage Month on March 17, 2026 at Brampton City Hall, celebrating the history, culture and contributions of Irish Canadians.​

Irish Heritage Month celebration 

Date: March 17, 2026 

Time: 10 am to 12 pm 

Location: Brampton City Hall, 2 Wellington St. W. 

The celebration will begin with a community flag raising at Ken Whillans Square, followed by a free reception at the City Hall Conservatory. Residents will enjoy live performances, remarks from community representatives and a complimentary Irish breakfast prepared by local Brampton business, Spot One Catering. The event is generously sponsored by Algoma University. 

Programming features opening and closing remarks by Hugo Straney, performances by DeVoy Academy and The Wild Geese and a community reception. 

Since launching in 2020, Brampton’s Irish Heritage Month celebration has grown each year, highlighting traditions and lasting contributions of Irish Canadians through cultural programming and shared experiences. Irish Canadians have helped shape Canada’s history, and Irish Heritage Month gives residents a chance to learn more about this legacy while celebrating the diversity strengthening Brampton.
