​​​20 Years in Bloom features family activities, live performances and The Homegrown anniversary concert on September 19 

BRAMPTON, ON (September 2, 2026) – The Rose is turning 20, and Brampton is invited to the celebration. 

On Saturday, September 19, 20 Years in Bloom will feature a free daytime open house, family activities, live performances and an evening anniversary concert celebrating Brampton talent. The full-day celebration recognizes the artists, audiences, staff, volunteers, community partners and patrons who have shaped The Rose over its first two decades.

Since opening in 2006, The Rose has welcomed more than three million visitors and hosted more than 5,000 performances and events. It has become a cornerstone of Brampton’s cultural life and downtown, welcoming local, national and international artists while creating opportunities for Brampton performers, producers, community groups and audiences to experience and participate in live arts. 

You’re invited! 20 Years in Bloom: The Rose Birthday Celebration

Join us for a free, full-day birthday celebration at The Rose.

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026

Free open house: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The Homegrown Concert: 6 p.m.

Location: The Rose, 1 Theatre Lane, Brampton, ON

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can explore the theatre, enjoy family-friendly activities, browse an artist market and experience live performances throughout the day. Programming includes a performance by the Gather Round Singers, Jumblies Theatre’s inclusive community choir, and Dan Brown’s Wild Symphony, a family-friendly musical experience presented in partnership with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

At 6 p.m., the celebration moves to the Mainstage for The Homegrown, The Rose’s 20th anniversary concert. Hosted by This Is Brampton alum Keesha Brownie, the concert features fellow This Is Brampton artists and alumni The Wild Woman and TC Spades, a dance performance curated by Rachel Chen, and a headline performance by JUNO Award-winning artist Kirk Diamond.

The daytime open house is free and open to all. The Homegrown concert is also free and tickets must be reserved in advance online or may be available at the door, subject to availability.
