BRAMPTON, ON – New and renewal applications have opened for the 2026 Affiliated Neighbourhood Associations Program, adding to the more than 52 groups established through this initiative. These associations play an important role in bringing neighbours together to improve community safety, connection and well-being.

Becoming a City of Brampton Affiliated Neighbourhood Association offers a unique opportunity to build deep connections within the community in a meaningful way. It also unlocks funding through the Nurturing Neighbourhood Grant for neighbourhood-led projects and initiatives. First-time applicants could receive up to $1,500 from the grant, while Neighbourhood Associations that were affiliated in 2024 and 2025 could receive up to $2,000 in funding if they renew their affiliation.

How to participate | Join a local Affiliated Neighbourhood Association or start your own

Residents can get involved by joining an existing Affiliated Neighbourhood Association or by starting a new one in their community. Residents can connect with existing groups in their community by viewing a map and directory of all Affiliated Neighbourhood Associations across Brampton. Residents without an association in their area are encouraged to start their own. New and returning associations can apply online until April 30. About the Affiliated Neighbourhood Association Program

An Affiliated Neighbourhood Association is a volunteer group of 20 or more residents from the same neighbourhood who work together to identify ways to improve their community. Affiliated Neighbourhood Associations will be connected to a Community Safety and Well-being Office (CSWO) team member who can provide support and advice.

2025 program outcomes

  • 52 neighbourhood associations became City-affiliated and received approximately $90,000 through the Nurturing Neighbourhood Grant.
  • 85 neighbourhood projects were completed across the City. This includes hosting community BBQs, wellness sessions and other gatherings to help connect neighbours. Significant highlights of events and initiatives led by 2025 Affiliated Neighbourhood Associations include:
