Omega Mighty

Singer-Songwriter, Dancer & Musician

Canadian R&B-reggae/dancehall fusion artist Omega Mighty has an eclectic sound, switching from Jamaican patois, sultry vocals and an energetic rap flow with confidence. She carefully blends elements of Pop and R&B with Reggae/Dancehall and afrobeats, incorporating her Caribbean heritage.

In 2023, Omega independently released her sophomore EP "Notorious & Noble" featuring lead single "Rush Dem", earning her a Juno award nomination for Reggae Recording of the year, and Reggae North Music's Top Song of the Year. With over 200,000 project streams on Spotify, the EP peaked at #5 on CFUV's top 30 charts, #1 on the international chart, #1 on the R&B/soul chart and #47 on !earshot national top 50, landing her the cover of "Fresh Finds Canada" playlist on Spotify. Selected as CBC Music's Searchlight Top 10 Artists, CBC Music names "Badgirl Workout" a high energy run for the crown. As a current RBCx Music First Up Artist and an alumni of the SOCAN Founda​tion Entrepreneurship program and VIFF cohort 2023, Omega is trailblazing the Canadian music scene with her unique sound.

Born to a Jamaican father and British-Bajan mother, playing records at home is one of Omega's earliest memories. She started training in classical piano at the age of 4, vocal by age 6 and dance by age 9. Born and raised in Toronto - known as one of the most diverse cities in the world, has exposed Omega to a variety of rich culture, helping to shape her sound. By age 11, Omega and her family relocated to a city on the outskirts of Toronto, known as Brampton, Ontario, a place she now refers to as her home. Teaming up with the City of Brampton and Canada's Music Incubator in 2024 for their 50th anniversary, Omega wrote the city's anthem "Celebrate You", collaborating with producers Darryn De Souza and Taabu.

Spitty is an Indian rapper and community leader from Brampton, Canada who is creating a monumental buzz with a dedicated following. His music carries a thoughtful yet energetic nature as he strives to inspire listeners through his songs. South Asian samples and instruments blend with North American influence to birth his unique approach to hip hop.

Spitty's debut album Full Circle was a hit around the world, receiving praise from everyone including Rolling Stone India & Much Music Canada, highlighting his national and global reach. Off the strength of the album, Spitty curated & headlined his own sold out Toronto concert and performed several dozen times in the surrounding area before taking his music on the road for a 6 week USA tour in early 2022. He quickly followed this up with the 22 show Full Circle Tour, spanning several cities in USA & Canada. This included Canadian Music Week, DesiFest at Yonge-Dundas Square, LAUNCH Music Festival, NXNE, Brampton Canada Day with Kardinal Offishall, & much more. In 2023, Spitty was featured in Complex Canada for being a Brampton Artist Ambassador and putting on free monthly open mic events for the community. His hit single Not For Me was featured on HotNewHipHop and Rolling Stone India. Teaming up with EverythingOShauN, Spitty's next single, Up Now, was featured on Spotify's Northern Bars playlist, Shifter Magazine, and HipHopCanada. Over the past year he's also begun giving speeches at schools, doubling down on his mission to motivate & inspire.

In late 2023, Spitty became a global brand ambassador for the historic alcohol brand Chivas Regal. In 2024, Spitty is set to grow exponentially through brand new music and content.

Taylor is the Administrative Coordinator of Performing Arts for the City of Brampton, where he has worked for nearly 10 years.

Taylor was raised and lived in Brampton for over 30 years, but still calls Brampton home. His passion for the arts started at a young age, when he attended acting lessons and performed for the first time at the old Heritage Theatre.

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts from the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts at Brock University.

Artistic Director of KasheDance, and Co- Director / Curator of Programming and Engagement at Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario (CPAMO), he centers culturally responsive advocacy, strategy, art, space / place making and communities in his work. He is the Theatre Centre’s Patrick Connor Award recipient (2023), Nominee (2023) and finalist (2021) for the Johanna Metcalf Performing Arts Prize and recipient of Canada Council for the Arts’ Victor Martyn Lynch – Staunton Award (2014). He is on the Boards of Dance Collection Danse, Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts, and was Board Chair for Nia Centre for the Arts and has taught at Centennial College’s  Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts - UWI (Mona), UWisc – Madison, Northwestern University, and the UT- Austin.

She is dedicated to fostering artistic expression and community engagement through dance and the arts!

Alexia Vassos (she/her) is an actor and writer currently based in the Greater Toronto Area. An alumna from the Theatre and Drama Studies joint program between the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, she holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and an Advanced Diploma in Acting. Since graduating, she’s appeared both on stage and screen in a variety of theatre productions, commercial campaigns and TV/film ventures. In her recent endeavours, Alexia has been able to combine her love of the arts with her passion for disability advocacy, moderating events, participating on panels and facilitating workshops that focus on accessibility within the industry and reflect her experiences as a Disabled artist.

Jimish is the Actor, Director & Drama Educator of The Hive Performing Arts, an eclectic Brampton based not-for-profit performing arts company offering cross-disciplinary workshops on Drama, Communication & Theatre Productions. With a Speech & Drama Associate Degree in Performance from Trinity College of London, Jimish’s teaching involves a combination of classical techniques and practical skills learnt over the span of 20 as a community theatre actor & director. Jimish’s directorial work includes Wait Until Dark, 12 Angry Jurors, Stories of Manto, Sherlock, The Miracle Worker, The Farnsworth Invention & Yasmina Reza’s Art. Identified by UAE’s Masala Magazine as one of the HOT 100 Personality of the year 2017, Jimish’s achievements include winning the best director award for directing The Miracle Worker and winning the best actor award for his role as Karsten Bernick in Henrik Ibsen’s Pillars of Society. Jimish has acted in productions like Shakespeare’s Othello, Georges Feydeau’s Sauce For The Goose, Sharad Joshi’s Andhon Ke Hathi, Molière’s The Would Be Gentleman, Jean Anouilh’s Ring Round The Moon, Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap & Peter Shaffer’s Black Comedy. In 2024 he stars in Every Brilliant Thing directed by Steven Schipper.

Pam Levi

Vocals

Pam Levi is a First Nations singer/songwriter from Elsipogtog First Nation, now based in Brampton, who has written many songs in which some of those songs she independently recorded 3 albums, 2 being about First Nations politics and 1 Christmas album. She has collaborated with many artists and spends lots of her time as in her family's recording studio as an audio engineer and recording artist for other artists. She has done musical productions and has done tours which led to a spot on The Candy Show which is aired on APTN. She has performed alongside the Barra McNeil’s, Jesse Cox, Hubert Francis, and many others. She’s hosted songwriters’ circles with David Myles, Naomi Shobha, Lucie Idlout and Dave West. Pam shares her love of writing with her whole musical family and looks at music as self-therapy because for her, music is medicine.

Emily Searle

Musical Theatre

Emily Searle graduated from Italia Conti School, London, England with a First-Class Honours’ Musical Theatre degree in 2021. Since moving to Canada, she has performed in Brampton Music Theatre’s productions of The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Rent (Feature Vocal/Dance Core) and Brampton's 50th Birthday Showcase (Soloist/Dance Core). Through her training, she built up an extensive skillset in singing, dancing and acting as well as industry knowledge. She specialises in ballet, jazz, musical theatre dance, contemporary musical theatre singing and acting through song. She has also worked professionally in England, appearing in plays and musicals across the South West of the country. Emily started teaching ballet, jazz and tap when she was 16 years old and has been teaching in some capacity ever since. Currently, she is a teacher and choreographer for Brampton Music Theatre's Youth Troupe.

Nicole Chambers

Nicole Chambers is a Brampton-based singer-songwriter known for her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. With a passion for music that began at an early age and a background in jazz vocals from Mohawk College. Nicole has released four projects, each showcasing her unique blend of contemporary R&B with influences from soul and jazz.

Her debut project ‘Voice Of Virgo’, introduced audiences to her distinct sound and emotional depth, earning her critical acclaim and a growing fan base. With a new project added to her discography, Nicole continued to explore songwriting and landed a feature on CBC season one show ‘Sort Of’. Following this success, she released ‘Love Had Other Plans’, which further solidified her place in the Canadian music scene, featuring standout tracks that highlight her exceptional songwriting skills. Her latest project, ‘Love Had Other Plans’ part 2, showcases her artistic evolution and experimentation with new sounds, demonstrating her versatility as an artist.

In addition to her musical endeavours, Chambers is empowering fellow artists through workshops focused on songwriting and she has partnered with Massey hall to facilitate programs. She recognizes the challenges many emerging musicians face, and has developed a program assisting artists hone their craft. Providing these workshops has developed a supportive environment for fellow artists to express their creativity, to further develop their skills and share their experiences. As she continues to grow and evolve as an artist, Nicole is dedicated to leaving a lasting impression on anyone she encounters.

Marcel Stewart

Directorial

Marcel Stewart is the Artistic Director of bcurrent Performing Arts and the Director of Artistic Outreach for SpiderWebShow Performance. Together with Adrienne Wong and Michael Wheeler, he curates FOLDA, an annual festival of live digital art in Kingston, ON. For three years, Marcel was the Outreach Director at Suitcase in Point, co-founding the Nest Artist Residency and Electric Innovations.

As an artist, Marcel has worked with theatre companies nationwide and internationally. In his work, Marcel investigates telling stories that connect artists and audiences to a cultural and ancestral past, while also imagining a future without borders or boundaries. Marcel is passionate about crafting narratives that focus on joy as a form of resistance against the prevailing colonial narratives that have shaped the Black Canadian experience. He uses digital technologies to expand this work's reach, bringing collaborators in remotely and taking the work out to a wider public. He’s interested in finding non-traditional ways to build community through performances and storytelling that are interactive and welcoming.

When Marcel is not creating theatre, he is an arts educator who has facilitated programming for community youth groups, professional actors, and students in university, high school, and elementary. He has taught classes at the National Theatre School of Canada, Brock University, and Sheridan College. His major project, Windrush (or Gone to See a Man About a Dog), is a coming-of-age story that platforms binaural sound to explore Caribbean folklore, grief, and home.
