Opportunity Overview

Do you have an exciting community arts project you would like to lead in Brampton?

Why not do it during Culture Days?

The City of Brampton is seeking program leaders working in all art forms to deliver community-engaged arts programming during Culture Days. This open call invites expressions of interest from artists and arts leaders with a project budget of up to $4,000, and up to three proposals will be supported.

The budget must cover all costs directly associated with the activity, including artist fees, planning, materials, insurance, travel, installation (if required), and other incidental and production expenses.

Culture Days Background

Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. Each fall, millions of people attend thousands of free participatory arts and culture events across the country—both in-person and online. These events invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities.

In 2025, Culture Days takes place from September 19 to October 12.

The City of Brampton is excited to support and amplify community-led programming by providing funding for free, arts-based, participatory events. We aim to champion individuals and groups working in community-engaged arts.

Brampton had an outstanding year in 2024, ranking #1 in Urban Centres and #2 overall in Canada for Culture Days participation. One local event earned a runner-up spot for Best Collaborative Program in the Spotlight Awards. By participating in 2025, together we will build on this success and contribute to a thriving arts scene in our city!
