Certain building-related records, including surveys, drawings, permits and inspection records are disclosed by the Building Division, located at Flower City Community Campus, 8850 McLaughlin Road, Unit 1, Brampton, ON, L6Y 5T1. Fees apply. For more information or to request a copy of a record, you may contact the Building Division directly at 905.874.2401 or at building.inquiries@brampton.ca.

You can also access basic property and building permit data on Brampton’s GeoHUB using the MyBrampton App or the Open Data catalogue.

Compliance Information

Compliance information related to zoning and Building Code matters, legal matters, financial matters and cemetery matters is disclosed through the Compliance Information Request process. Fees apply. Environment-Related Records

The City of Brampton discloses environment-related records upon the request of the applicable property owner (or a designee who has a letter of authorization from the property owner). Fees apply.

Environmental records searches are managed by the Public Works and Engineering Department at 1975 Williams Pkwy, Brampton, ON, L6S 6E5. Tel: 905.874.2500.

Environment-related records may also be maintained by Fire and Emergency Services. Fire record searches are managed by the Fire Prevention Division at 225 Central Park Drive, Brampton, ON, L6S 6H1. Tel: 905.874.2740.

If you are undertaking a Phase 1 Environmental Assessment, it is recommended that you complete both an environmental record search and a fire record search. Fees associated with both processes are payable in advance. Note that external institutions such as the Region of Peel, the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and the relevant conservation authority may also hold relevant environment-related records.

By-Law Enforcement Records

Records of complaints and investigations of By-Law infractions often contain the personal information of identifiable individuals. These records are only disclosed in response to an access to information request. Legislated exemptions to disclosure may apply.​​​​​​​​​
