​​​​New pharmaceutical manufacturing investment strengthens Brampton’s position as a destination for global business growth and innovation

BRAMPTON, ON (June 19, 2026) – The City of Brampton celebrated the expansion of Sun Pharma’s Brampton operations with a ribbon-cutting ceremony recognizing more than $56 million in investment and over 35 new jobs supporting the city’s growing health and life sciences sector. With over 740 skilled workers currently employed at Sun Pharma’s Brampton facility, the expansion further strengthens Brampton’s position as a hub for health and life sciences innovation and employment.

The investment includes the transformation of the facility into a highly specialized pharmaceutical operation, including a new 50,000-square-foot environmentally controlled warehouse with capacity for approximately 4,500 pallets, a highly regulated pharmaceutical production suite and the installation of a state-of-the-art Quick Changeover Tube Filling line. Additional investments are also planned for the company’s existing facilities at 126 and 130 East Drive.
