Parks Cleanups and Free BBQs
Generously sponsored by Capital Power, CN and TD, the Parks Cleanup Program helps keep Brampton clean. Each year, from April 1 to November 1, residents, community organizations, neighbourhood associations, businesses and school groups are encouraged to host or join a cleanup event. Last year, approximately 30,000 residents participated in cleanup initiatives, including five community cleanup events and approximately 1,836 self-led cleanups.
This year, the City is hosting five cleanups – which include free BBQs -- in partnership with several organizations in each ward pairing.

Brampton Schools Cleanup Challenge
This April, Brampton schools are invited to take part in the School Cleanup Challenge as part of Earth Month celebrations. This initiative encourages students, teachers and staff to come together and take action by cleaning up their school grounds and surrounding areas. By organizing a cleanup led by a class, club or school-wide, participants are automatically entered into a draw for a chance to win a $1,000 gift card to the Outdoor Learning Store. Visit brampton.ca/cleanup to participate.
Imagine Your Impact
Imagine a cleaner, safer and more beautiful Brampton—where every small action adds up to a big difference. The Imagine Your Impact campaign empowers residents to take responsibility for their surroundings by properly disposing of waste, picking up after pets and respecting park guidelines.
Litter harms wildlife, pollutes waterways and damages parks. Brampton is on a mission to become Canada's first litter-free community, and your choices matter. Follow key regulations—no littering, smoking, alcohol or overnight camping—to help keep our parks clean and welcoming for all.

City Nature Challenge – Toronto and GTA
City Nature Challenge is a free four-day event where communities across the world collaborate to see who can gather the greatest number of wildlife observations, find the most species and engage the most people in nature connection. Brampton is proud to take part in this wider GTA event.
Residents are encouraged to form a group and help record their nature observations from areas near where they live. Each record of a plant or animal submitted helps track and understand biodiversity.
