Join thousands of people in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon who ride bicycles because it’s convenient, healthy, inexpensive and f​un.

This handbook will teach you about your bicycle, traffic laws and safe cycling habits. When riding your bike, always remember to use your best judgement, take your time, and have fun!​​

The Active Transportation Advisory Committee provides input and advice to City staff and to Council on the development and maintenance of a safe and connected cycling network. ATAC consists of appointed Brampton residents and a City Council representative. ATAC’s meeting agendas and committee minutes are available here​.

Bike Brampton​ is a local cycling advocacy group which holds several regular events to build community and promote active transportation. Volunteers encourage increased safe cycling in Brampton and Caledon through bike mentorship programs, workshops, contests, and more.

Different Spokes Bike Hub​ is a cooperative bike shop operated by Punjabi Community Health Services and supported by BikeBrampton. The hub is located in Downtown Brampton at 8 Nelson St. West (facing Main Street, beside the railway). They are a member organization that offers do-it-yourself bike repair services and workshops.

The Sheridan Bike Hub​ has two locations in Mississauga and Brampton; its Brampton location is at the Davis campus in Portable #7. It offers Sheridan students do-it-yourself bike repair services​ (and basic repairs for staff and the public), bike rentals​, and cycling resources​. It also provides the public with refurbished bikes for sale and accepts bike and parts donations. The Bike Hub is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 to 4:30 p.m., and it closes in December and will reopen sometime in May.

TRCA has resources encouraging active transportation for JK to grade 8 students in Peel Region. The resources are meant for families and teachers and include news and articles, as well as resources for teachers and students. ​​Brampton Cycling Club​ is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and enjoying road riding in the western Greater Toronto Area (GTA) by organizing club rides and touring groups tailored to riding abilities.

The Share the Road​ Cycling Coalition is a cycling advocacy organization working to build a bicycle-friendly Ontario. The organization's Bicycle Friendly Community Award (BFC) Program provides incentives, hands-on assistance, and award recognition for communities that actively support bicycling. The City of Brampton has achieved Bronze status. See the report card here​.
