The City of Brampton’s Black Empowerment Unit is conducting a community consultation and wants to hear from all Brampton residents of Caribbean, Black, South American, African heritage and Indigenous Black. We want to capture the voices and needs of Brampton’s Black community. The information gathered will be used to develop a five-year action plan for the City of Brampton and to further the advancement of the Black community and to eradicate systemic anti-Black racism.

Consultation Focus

The Black Community Voice consultation will focus on key pillars of community advancement, including economic empowerment, civic engagement, youth development, social and cultural development. This process will be facilitated by Logical Outcomes, who will work closely with City of Brampton staff to ensure the methodology aligns with both the lived realities of Black communities and the City's broader Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
