Youth Employment Readiness Program

  • Interested in learning skills to succeed in the workplace?

Then consider joining the City of Brampton's new Youth Employment Readiness Program!

What Is It?

The Brampton community has identified a disparity wi​th youth and employment. This program is designed to equip Brampton youth with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to find a job and succeed in the workforce.

Through a series of five workshops, you will learn:

  • Resume building
  • Interview techniques
  • Workplace communication
  • Time management
  • Professional etiquette

The goal is to enhance your employability, boost confidence and prepare you for long-term career success.

Program Details

This program is FREE for Brampton youth to participate in.

Space is limited and only 100 youth will be selected to participate in the program.

You must be available to attend all five of the workshops - either in person or virtually - to be considered for this program. The first worksh​op will be held on January 11, 2025.

You may also be required to volunteer or participate in mentorship opportunities, so you can gain hands-on work experience.
