​​​​​Free programming from May 1 to 7 invites youth to connect, create and shape their community

​BRAMPTON, ON (April 16, 2026) – The City of Brampton is inviting young residents to step into a week of connection, creativity and opportunity during National Youth Week​, taking place May 1 to 7, 2026. ​

This annual celebration spotlights the voices, talents and leadership of Brampton’s youth, while creating opportunities to connect, build skills and explore new interests. Youth aged 14 to 29 can participate in hands-on, youth-focused programming across recreation, arts and culture, innovation and career development offered throughout the city.

Explore Brampton Youth Pass

Applications are now open for the Explore Brampton Youth Pass, offering eligible youth access to free transit and recreation opportunities throughout the summer.

The Explore Brampton Youth Pass opens doors for young residents to stay active, discover their city and deepen connections within their community.

Applications are open online​ until May 17, 2026.

Mental health and wellness programming

Mental Health & Wellness Workshop

A youth-led session offering a supportive space to discuss mental health, coping strategies and resilience through shared stories and lived experiences.

Empowering Minds Workshop

An interactive session focused on self-care and well-being, where youth speakers share personal insights and practical tools for navigating everyday challenges.

Online Overdrive Workshop

A virtual workshop exploring the impact of online activity on mental health and overall well-being, featuring open, youth-led dialogue and shared perspectives.

Innovation, careers and future skills

Workshop 1: Rock My Business Idea

A virtual workshop designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs develop and refine their business ideas. Participants will learn how to assess viability, overcome common challenges and build a strong foundation for turning ideas into action.

Youth Games – Next Gen Youth Cup

A high-energy, all-star style soccer skills competition where young athletes showcase their talent in a fun and competitive environment.

Carnival Night

A lively indoor experience filled with games, entertainment and treats, offering youth a chance to unwind, connect and celebrate.

Pass the Mic – Jazz Night

A youth-led open mic event inviting participants aged 13 to 24 to take the stage and share their voices through poetry, music, comedy and more. This inclusive, jazz-inspired evening highlights emerging talent and creates space for authentic self-expression and connection. Learn more at brampton.ca/passthemic.

Youth Community Park Cleanups

Hosted by the City’s Parks Maintenance and Forestry team, youth are invited to take part in community cleanups supporting a cleaner, greener Brampton.
