COVID 19 Communication Resources

The Government of Ontario provides a number of COVID-19 Communication Resources in multiple languages to help local communication efforts in responding to COVID-19.  Click here for more information.

The Inspirit Foundation promotes inclusion and pluralism through media and arts, provides support for young content creators, and impact invests - specifically addressing discrimination based on ethnicity, race, or religion.  Click here for more information.

On Juneteenth, Phiona Llyod-Henry and Natasha Henry hosted a workshop at the City that examined the historical roots of anti-black racism in Canada, and identified and addressed anti-black racism in the workplace.

Laidlaw Foundation supports young people impacted by the justice, education, and child-welfare systems to become healthy and engaged by investing in innovative ideas, convening interested parties, advocating for systems change, and sharing learning across the sector.​Click here for more information.

Library and Archives Canada through its Documentary Heritage Communities Program provides $1.5 million each year to documentary heritage organizations across the country.  This funding helps to ensure that Canada's continuing memory is documented, preserved and accessible.  Click here for more information.

The Ontario Arts Council is an agency that operates at arm's length from the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries.  The Council's grants and services to professional, Ontario-based artists and arts organizations support arts education, Indigenous arts, community arts, crafts, dance, Francophone arts, literature, media arts, multidisciplinary arts, music, theatre, touring, and visual arts.  Click here for more information.

​The Ontario Trillium Foundation is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada's leading granting foundations. 

Through its Resilient Communities Fund, the Foundation is investing in projects of eligible non-profit organizations to aid their medium to longer-term recovery efforts, help with their stabilization and build their capacity and resiliency in the aftermath of COVID-19.  Click here for more information.

2018 Student Census Secondary School Report

In November 2018, the Peel District School Board launched its first Student Census or all students, to collect demographic data and student perceptions.  The Student Census report provides the results for 39,057 secondary school students (grades 9 to 12) who participated in the census.
