BRAMPTON, ON – The City of Brampton is inviting residents to make the most of the season with registration opening for 2026 fall recreation programs and winter break camps. Whether you are looking to stay active, learn a new skill, express your creativity or keep children engaged during the school break, Brampton Recreation offers hundreds of programs for every age, interest and ability.
Key registration dates for fall programs and winter break camps:
- Monday, August 10 at 7 a.m.: All fall programs are viewable.
- Monday, August 24 at 7 a.m.: Registration opens for most programs, winter break camps and the fall session of Brampton Sports League.
- Wednesday, September 9 at 7 a.m.: Registration opens for Learn to Swim and Learn to Skate programs.
- Monday, September 21 to Sunday, December 13: All fall session programs will run.
- Monday, December 21 to Thursday, December 31: Winter break camps will run.
New! Introducing Brampton Recreation Gift Cards
Brampton Recreation is launching new gift cards on August 11. Available as both physical and digital gift cards, they can be used toward eligible recreation programs, camps, memberships, lessons and other recreation services at participating facilities across the city.
Physical gift cards are available with a minimum purchase of $10, and both physical and digital gift cards can be loaded with flexible amounts. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, holiday or another special occasion, Recreation gift cards make it easy to give the gift of recreation. Discover your next sport at Sports Day in Brampton
Kick off the fall recreation season at Sports Day in Brampton, a free, family-friendly event hosted in partnership with the Brampton Sport Alliance. Join us on Saturday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cassie Campbell Community Centre to meet 14 local sport organizations, explore fall, winter and year-round programs and try a variety of sports through interactive demonstrations and activities. Collect an event passport, complete three activities for a chance to win a prize pack and discover new opportunities to stay active. Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or looking to build their skills, Sports Day is a fun way to connect with local clubs and find the right program. Join the Brampton Sports League fall 2026 season
Generously sponsored by Peel Police, Brampton Sports League is back this fall, offering adults aged 18 and older the opportunity to stay active, meet new people and enjoy recreational competition. This season offers badminton, ball hockey, basketball, flag football, pickleball and volleyball. Register now! Celebrate 10 years of the Brampton Tough Run
The Brampton Tough Run returns to Chinguacousy Park on Saturday, September 26, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a fun, high-energy 5 kilometre obstacle course for individuals and teams. Heats depart every 10 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. New this year, enjoy a free Fan Zone for family and friends. From August 31 to September 25, participants can get a sneak peek at race obstacles through mini Try It demonstrations at select fitness centres across the city. Keep kids active during winter break
Keep children active, engaged and having fun during the winter school break with the City of Brampton's Winter Break Camps. Camps for children ages 4 to 14 offer a variety of recreational, creative and active experiences, with inclusive camp options available. To support a smooth registration experience, residents are encouraged to:

- Avoid refreshing or closing the browser while payment is processing.
- Use Google Chrome for the best desktop experience.

Brampton Recreation’s mobile registration app offers a convenient way for residents to explore programs, register for activities and complete payments directly from their device. Residents are encouraged to get set up in advance to be ready when registration opens.
Verify your recreation account to keep your resident benefits
Every two years, Brampton residents must verify their residency to continue receiving priority registration access and council-approved resident rates for recreation programs. To verify your account, visit any recreation centre Customer Service Desk with valid photo identification and proof of Brampton address.
You can also check your verification status by logging in to your Recreation Registration Account and selecting the “Account Verification” tab. If your account shows as unverified, visit the Customer Service Desk at your nearest Recreation Centre with valid photo ID and proof of Brampton address (e.g., driver's licence). Financial assistance through ActiveAssist
ActiveAssist, generously sponsored by 407 ETR, Alectra, Capital Power and The Stevens Company, helps eligible low-income individuals and families participate in recreation programs. Approved applicants receive a $275 recreation credit that can be used toward eligible drop-in
and registered programs, as well as memberships. Each approved participant remains enrolled in the program for two years. To review eligibility requirements or apply, visit brampton.ca/activeassist.
