Community Safety Action Plan

Brampton’s first Community Safety Action Plan is an initiative of the City of Brampton Community Safety & Well-Being Office. The development of this Plan was identified as an Intergovernmental Priority during the 2020 Term of Council Priorities Mid-term Evaluation & Refresh. The Community Safety Action Plan supports the Strategic Direction that Brampton is a Healthy and Safe City.

To develop the Community Safety Action Plan, the Community Safety & Well-Being Office collaborated with internal partners across all City departments, and was further informed by:

  • Town hall meetings
  • Resident meetings
  • Citizen Advisory Committee Strategy Session
  • City Council interviews
  • Staff and external partner engagement
  • Data from 1800+ residents through the Nurturing Neighbourhoods Program
  • 330+ interactions with residents and partners who provided input on the draft Action Plan during the community participation phase

The Community Safety Action Plan has received support from our external partners, who also prioritize community safety and well-being in their respective agencies:
