Project Updates
Brampton Transit is working closely with Metrolinx, the Provincial Government agency responsible for leading the Hazel McCallion LRT. The project team has committed to informing the public and stakeholders with as much notice as possible of potential disruptions.
Major construction began in Spring 2020. The construction period is expected to bring impacts and disruptions to residents and businesses.
Construction Updates
City of Brampton staff continues to work with and support Metrolinx on design and construction of the Hazel McCallion Line. Design and construction activities are ongoing for the Hazel McCallion LRT, concurrently within the cities of Brampton and Mississauga. A
comprehensive list of construction updates is available on the Metrolinx website.
Within the City of Brampton, construction is currently focused on utility installation, guideway track and LRT stop construction. We can expect to see continued construction within the guideway for the LRT as well as utility relocations in the boulevards in 2026.
