​Effective 7:00 AM on Monday, October 5, 2026, until 7:00 PM on October 8, 2026, Longside Drive at Hurontario Street will be closed due to watermain construction.

Details

Effective Monday, October 5, until further notice, the Heart Lake Terminal will be temporarily closed to undergo enhancements that will better serve the community.

During this time, the following Brampton Transit route stops will be relocated to temporary on-street bus stops.

Mount Pleasant GO Station - Route 60 Mississauga Road Platform Change

60 Mississauga Road

Details

Effective: Monday, September 28, 2026 until Summer 2027

Due to construction at Mount Pleasant GO Station, Platform #5 will be temporarily closed.

Route 60 Mississauga Road will pick up and drop off customers at Platform #6 for the duration of the construction.

Mayfield Road Widening Construction and Detour

213 St. Edmund Campion

Details

Effective: Friday, August 14, 2026 for approximately 6 weeks. Route 24 Van Kirk southbound will be on detour between Mayfield Road and Wanless Drive due to Mayfield Road widening construction.

Route 213 St. Edmund Campion is also temporarily unable to operate regular southbound routing along Van Kirk Drive between Mayfield Road and Wanless Drive. Customers in this area are being re-directed to board all southbound buses on Van Kirk Drive south of Wanless Drive until regular routing can resume.​

2026 Farmers Market Road Closure Detour

Effective: Saturdays from June 13, 2026 until October 10, 2026 between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM

During the Downtown Farmer’s Market, Main Street will be closed between Queen Street and Wellington Street. Routes 502 Züm Main, 2 Main and 24 Van Kirk will be on detour.

  • Main Street north of Queen Street East will be temporarily closed to Route 2 Main - stop #1732
    • Passengers to board Route 2 Main buses at the existing bus stop #1733 on Main Street north of Theatre Lane. 
  • Main Street at Queen Street West will be temporarily closed to Route 2 Main - stop #1786
