Details

Effective: Saturdays from June 13, 2026 until October 10, 2026 between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM

During the Downtown Farmer’s Market, Main Street will be closed between Queen Street and Wellington Street. Routes 502 Züm Main, 2 Main and 24 Van Kirk will be on detour.

Bus Stop Changes:​
  • Wellington - Züm Main Station Stop southbound will be temporarily closed to Routes 502 Züm Main and 2 Main - stop #1787
    • Passengers to board Routes 502 Züm Main and 2 Main buses at the temporary bus stop on Main Street south of Wellington Street (at the GO bus stop).
  • Main Street north of Queen Street East will be temporarily closed to Route 2 Main - stop #1732
    • Passengers to board Route 2 Main buses at the existing bus stop #1733 on Main Street north of Theatre Lane. 
  • Main Street at Queen Street West will be temporarily closed to Route 2 Main - stop #1786
    • Passengers to board Route 2 Main buses at the existing bus stop # 1785 on Main Street north of Nelson Street.
  • George Street Opposite Diplock Lane will be temporarily close to Route 24 Van Kirk - stop #1654
    • Passengers to board Route 24 Van Kirk at the existing stop #1785 on Main Street north of Nelson Street.

Ray Lawson Boulevard Closure and Detour

Details

Effective Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 8:00 PM until Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 7:00 PM, Ray Lawson Boulevard will be closed at Hurontario Street due to construction. Northbound and southbound service on Hurontario Street will not be impacted. 

Detours:

Route 54 County Court:

  • Regular routing to Country Court Boulevard and Havelock Drive
  • Right onto Hurontario Street
  • Left onto Sir Lou Drive
  • Left onto Malta Avenue
  • Right onto Ray Lawson Boulevard
  • Resume regular routing
Bus Stop Closure:
  • Bus stop #2596 Ray Lawson Boulevard east of Malta Avenue

Temporary stop changes due to underground parking construction at 8 Nelson Street West

Details

Effective Monday, March 30, until further notice, due to critical repairs at the 8 Nelson Parking Garage, the Downtown Transit Terminal North Platform will be closed during Phase 2 of construction. ​

The following Brampton Transit and GO Transit route stops will be relocated to temporary on-street bus stops: 

1. Route 52 McMurchy - Temporary Stop on George Street, north of Nelson Street   

2. Route 561 Züm Queen West Westbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, south of Nelson Street   

3. Route 1/1A Queen Westbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, south of Nelson Street 

4. GO Transit Bus Stop - Route 31/33 towards Toronto - Temporary Stop on Main Street, north of Nelson Street   

5. GO Transit Bus Stop – Route 31/33 towards Guelph - Temporary Stop on Main Street, north of Theatre Lane (at Church Street)

6. GO Transit Bus Stop – Route 37 towards Orangeville - Temporary Stop on Main Street, north of Theatre Lane (at Church Street)

During this time, the South platform will remain open for buses and riders. GO Train Platforms will not be impacted.

Signage will be posted to help riders navigate temporary stop locations.
