1. A registered PRESTO card. If you do not have a card, you can purchase one at any Brampton Transit terminal or facility, or online at
www.prestocard.ca
Important: Applicants must successfully complete the card registration process prior to attending a Brampton Transit facility in order to obtain the discount on their PRESTO card. Brampton Transit is not able to apply the discount to unregistered cards.
2. The current Notice of Assessment (NOA) for yourself and all applicants over the age of 18. If you do not have your NOA, you can request a replacement from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) at 1-800-959-8281, or contact the Region of Peel at 905-791-7800 for assistance.
3. If you are a newcomer and have not filed taxes, you may submit one of the following:
- Confirmation of Permanent Residence document
- Protected Person Status document
- Refugee Protection Claimant Document
You will also need to submit a document supporting your income, such as a:
- Resettlement Plan;
- Statement showing support from Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or a federal/private sponsor; or
- Pay stub/letter from your employer detailing your wage.
