Whether you're local or visiting from out of town, there are specific requirements to operate booths, tents, trucks, carts or trailers within our city. Please review the information below to ensure you're fully compliant before setting up at any special event.
Requirements for Local Vendors
If your business is based within the city, the following is required:
For Vendors with a Fixed Premise
For Caterers
For Mobile Vendors (food trucks, carts, trailers, etc.)
Requirements for Out-of-Town Vendors
If your business is based outside of Brampton, one of the following are required:
- Fixed Premise Business Licence from your local municipality
- Refreshment Vehicle Operator Licence & Plate issued by your local municipality

In addition to a:
Special Event Permit
A Special Event Permit is required for all vendors participating in city events.

In-Town Vendors: Permit fee is waived

Out-of-Town Vendors: Permit fee applies
Application Process
Please apply two weeks in advance to avoid delays.
- Download and complete the Special Event Permit form, ensuring all required documentation listed on the form is included.
- Email the completed form and supporting documents to enforcementclerks@brampton.ca.
- Once your application is reviewed and all requirements are met, you will receive a payment link (if applicable) to complete the process.
