Brampton City Council officially proclaimed November 2025 as its first-ever Community Safety Month!

Organized by the City's Community Safety and Well-Being Office (CSWO), Community Safety Month took place November 1 to 30, 2025, aligned with the national recognition of Community Safety and Crime Prevention Month by the Canada Safety Council and Ontario's Community Safety and Crime Prevention Month Act, passed in 2024. Community Safety Month is designed to connect with residents and provide them with practical tools, tips, and resources that support safety, well-being, and stronger neighbourhoods across Brampton. Key initiatives for Community Safety Month 2025 included:

The Proclamation of Community Safety Month and Delegations at the October 15th City Council meeting
A series of Community Engagements throughout the month
A Neighbourhood Association Meet, Mingle and Workshop on November 13th
Launch of the Annual Community Safety and Well-Being Survey
Launch of Connected Communities, the Community Safety and Well-Being Office newsletter
Launch of Hello Neighbour: A Guide to Safer Homes and Community
