Draft #2 Engagement Pop-Up #7: Cassie Campbell Community Centre

With the latest release of the Second Draft of the Comprehensive Zoning By-law, the project team visited Cassie Campbell Community Centre to share the release of the new draft and hear feedback from resid​ents. The team engaged and heard from more than 20 residents living in the area, many of them parents and their young children, students, and young professionals.

Public Open House #2

City Hall Conservatory (2 Wellington St. W.)

The City’s Integrated City Planning and Developm​ent Services & Design divisions hosted two sessions of the second public open house for the Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review and Urban Design Guidelines projects at the ​City Hall Conservatory. Project staff and consultants presented the Second Drafts of the New Comprehensive Zoning By-law and Urban Design Guidelines and provided updates on project timelines. Staff from partnering divisions and teams were also in attendance accompanying information display boards to answer questions and receive feedback. Live interactive draft zoning information stations and Additional Residential Unit (ARU) engagement booth were also set up to further facilitate more detailed conversations and feedback. In total, 74 registrants and 37 attendees participated between the two sessions, including a range of participants including residents, landowners, business owners, consultants and other industry group members.​​

Draft #2 Engagement Pop-Up #6: Bramalea City Centre Mall

The Project Team along with other City groups held a pop-up at Bramalea City Centre. The team focused on engaging, gathering feedback and informing residents on the upcoming Public Open House on Oct 15th. Furthermore, the team was able to engage with diverse groups of residents at all walks of life including seniors, families, students and children with a rough total of 80 people.

Draft #2 Engagement Pop-Up #5: Shopper’s World Brampton Mall

The Project Team along with other City departments held a community engagement pop-up at Shopper’s World Mall. The team focused on engaging, gathering feedback and informing residents on the upcoming Public Open House on Oct 15th. Furthermore, the team was able to engage with diverse groups of residents at all walks of life including seniors, families, students and children with a rough total of 80 people.​

Draft #2 Engagement Pop-Up #4: Brampton Farmer’s Market

The Project Team spent the morning at Brampton Farmer’s market located in downtown Brampton. Within the cluster of produces and goods, the project team held a booth to engage and raise awareness on the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law Review. The team was able to engage with diverse groups of families, nearby residents, shop and other small business owners. In total, the team interacted with more than 100 people at the Downtown Farmers Market.​

The Project Team was in the east side of the city raising awareness about the Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review. We talked to more than 80 tradespeople, property owners, families and other residents of Brampton about our draft new zoning standards and upcoming Public Open House.​​​

Draft #1 Engagement Pop-Up #1: 2024 Bike the Creek

The Project Team joined other City groups at the “2024 Bike the Creek” event as part of a bro​ader City's community engagement pop-up. Hundreds of residents, families and neighbourhood gr​oups participated in the 10th annual cycling event. We engaged with more than 30 interested residents to talk about zoning review and he​ar their feedback.​

Public Open House #1

The City of Brampton held a virtual public open house to present the relaunched Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review project and the new Urban Design Guidelines, including the latest project status and deliverables (e.g. Draft Zoning Strategy Report and Technical Memo, First Preliminary Draft, interactive mapping application).
