No, alcohol is not permitted at Professor’s Lake beach.
Does Professor’s Lake issue refunds in case of inclement weather?
Refunds will not be granted for any reason, including inclement weather or poor water quality. Please view water quality and beach status here before your visit.
What type of food or refreshment is available?
A variety of snacks, food items, and beverages are available for purchase onsite at our concessions counter.
Are garbage tags sold at Professor’s Lake beach?
No, we do not sell garbage tags at Professor’s Lake. Please visit here for updates related to garbage tag sales.
Are animals permitted on the beach?
Pets are prohibited at Professor’s Lake beach area. We love pets, but please keep animals at home in cool and air-conditioned environments. Service animals are permitted with proof of service designation (ex. vest).Additionally, please refrain from feeding wildlife in and around the beach area.
Can I bring my own kayak, canoe, paddleboard to the Lake?
Yes, residents are able to bring their own non-motorized boats to the lake. A boat permit is required and is available for purchase during operating hours. Click here to view permit rates.
Are boats permitted on the lake?
Boat permits are only issued and valid during posted Lake operating hours. Please click here to find more information regarding swimming and boating at Professor's Lake Recreation Centre (BY-LAW 161-83). ). Day and seasonal boat permits are available for purchase.
When is water quality tested?
Professor's Lake water quality is tested daily by the Region of Peel. Test findings will result in the lake being open or closed. If Professor’s Lake is closed due to poor water quality, the lake will be tested daily until the water quality becomes acceptable. Refunds will not be provided due to poor water quality.

What is the minimum height requirement to ride the water slide?
The minimum height requirement to ride the water slide is 39.5” or 1 (one) M tall.

Are dogs allowed at Professor's Lake Beach?
No, to ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors, pets and dogs are not allowed at Professor's Lake Beach.

Inflatable Water Park

Are lifeguards on duty?
Yes, lifeguards are on duty during operating hours. Adult supervision of children under the age of 10 is still required at all times.
Do adults who are not participating have to buy a ticket?
Yes, adults supervising a child on the water park are required to purchase a ticket at the time of booking and must be actively participating/supervising their child while on the water park.
How deep is the water where the inflatable water park is located?
The depth of the water at the location of the water park ranges from 20 – 30 feet.
Do I have to purchase a beach ticket and a water park ticket?
Your water park ticket also includes all-day admission to Professor's Lake beach.
Why did the City instal an inflatable water park?
The inflatable water park will provide residents a new, affordable, and fun local activity during the summer months.
When will the inflatable water park be available for use?
The beach, boathouse, and water park are scheduled to open on June 27, 2024, weather and conditions permitting.
What is the admission policy for the inflatable water park?
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by and “within arm’s reach” of a guardian aged 14 years or older. There is an age requirement of 6+ years to be on the inflatable water park. A swim test is administered by aquatics staff to evaluate skill, comfort and confidence of participants. Participants must wear the lifejacket provided at all times while on the water park. What is the cancellation policy?
Tickets can be cancelled at any time prior to the start of your booking. Missed bookings are not subject to a refund.
How long does one admission ticket allow me to be on the water park?
Admission tickets are valid for one hour and 50 minute time slots. 50 minute delay entry tickets are available on site if space is available. Advanced registration is recommended but not required for one or two hour time slots. Purchase tickets by calling 905.791.7751 or online at www.brampton.ca/registerforprograms.
What is the inclement weather and water quality policy?
Should we have to cancel your booking due to inclement weather or poor water quality, an email will be issued to all ticket holders to provide notice of the cancellation and an account credit will be placed onto your City of Brampton recreation account.
What is an inflatable water park?
An inflatable water park is an in-water playground that includes unique features such as slides, obstacles and climbing structures.
Is there a fee?
Yes, fees do apply. It is recommended that registration is completed in advance to avoid disappointment, rates are available here.
