Celebrate Family Day with us on February 19 by joining us for a variety of free and paid family-friendly activities, city-wide!​​

Chinguacousy Park Family Day Event

When: Monday, February 19
Time: 12 – 4 pm
Where: Chinguacousy Park

Join us for a day of family fun at Chinguacousy Park. Get cozy by the fire pit and roast a marshmallow or ​​​glide along the skating trail with music provided by a DJ. Embark on a scavenger hunt in the barn, explore a fire truck, have fun playing games or trying a carnival-style amusement and much more. It will be a day packed with joy for everyone! All activities are weather permitting.

Family Fun Day in Downtown Brampton​

When: Monday, February 19
Time: 12 – 4 pm
Where: Nelson Square Pocket Park​

For free, Family Day fun check out the Nelson Square Pocket Park in downtown Brampton. Welcoming everyone for an afternoon of storytelling around the fire, s’mores roasting and games. For more information, visit www.Brampton.ca/ADB. ​

Free Drop-In Program Programs

Select recreation centres are open on Family Day, offering a variety of free programs for residents to enjoy!

Free program offerings are available to view below. Registration for free Family Day programs begins on Friday, February 16 at 6 am for Brampton residents and on Saturday, February 17 at 6 am for non-residents.

Outdoor Recreational Amenities

Outdoor Skating (FREE)

Outdoor skating rinks are open on Family Day, weather and ice conditions permitting. Visitors are encouraged to visit our outdoor skating page for updates to outdoor skating guidelines and outdoor rink operational status prior to their visit.

Recreational Trails and Pathways (FREE)

​Take a beautiful winter stroll through our recreational trails this winter. All main recreational trails remain open and maintained, including outdoor fitness equipment. All outdoor fields and courts also remain open for play including soccer, basketball, tennis and ball hockey. Visit www.brampton.ca/parks​ to explore trails in Brampton.
